Faith-Based Live Action Role Playing for Homeschoolers!

LARPing homeschool club, including events, ditch battling, period appropriate crafts, acting practice and tips, character development, role-playing games, creative writing & drama–All educational and fun!

Ditch Battling

Each time we meet, we will be ditch battling! That’s a fancy word for fighting with boffer swords. Sometimes this means we have magic and sometimes it’s melee only. We incorporate fun games also like capture the flag, zombie apocalypse, and more.

Crafting

During our homeschool club meetings, we build different weapons and crafts, including boffer swords.

LARPing Events

Each month we have a Live Action Role Playing event where we act out our story line. Our story this year will be epic! Called “The Lost Lanterns of Lanofeh,” it’s going to feature Renaissance History and Bible verses that have to do with joy, all set in our fantasy world like Lord of the Rings/Narnia.

Devotionals

Each time our coach and chaplain leads us in a short devotional and discipleship time. Our theme this year is joy and revival.

Drama Skits and Games

If time permits, we have the students play drama games and do short skits.

Advanced Narrative Roleplay

Each time we get together for the homeschool club, we spend some time building a storyline using Nate’s Advanced Narrative Roleplaying. This is a Christian alternative to Dungeons & Dragons and it is simplified to make playing fun and enjoyable.
